How prepared are you to adapt?
Building the innovative organization
The competencies needed for fostering innovation are very different from those of the traditional manager. When the organizational leader is a champion of innovation, and capable of building momentum around new ways of doing business and taking calculated risks, meaningful innovation has a much more secure foundation for success.
We offer customizable programs for individuals and organizations to learn the tools to identify, develop, and implement creative strategies to address their own challenges. Each program aims to build a shared language, common capacities, and to share case studies of arts leaders who are leading change across their organizations.
Community-wide Introduction to Innovation and Adaptive Capacity
A 2- to 3- hour presentation that defines innovation in the arts and why it is so important. We also explore assumptions and strategies, explain what adaptive capacity is, and provide an overview of how to assess an organization’s own capacity for change – with time for Q&A throughout.
Innovating in Turbulent Times workshop
Rooted in participants identifying and responding to their current major challenges, this is an interactive session that defines innovation in the arts, and uses focused small-group exercises to addresses the questions and develop participants’ proposed new strategies
Customized speeches and presentations
Richard Evans, President and Co-founder of EmcArts, speaks frequently at conferences and seminars on innovation and organizational change in the arts. Each presentation is prepared in consultation with event organizers and tailored to local audiences.
